As I waited on the Lord this morning for a word from him specifically for his girls he opened up a picture to me of a man dressed in fresh, clean 18th century gentleman's attire. He wore a red coat and white breaches and was perfectly groomed. But he was seated in a dungeon cell with manacles on his hands. I saw the manacles suddenly break off him and he immediately stood up and left. I sensed that he knew exactly where he was going and what he was going to do. When I asked why an 18th century man in a dungeon, Holy Spirit showed me that the dungeon represented the deepest, darkest places of bondage, wounding and despair we have been in, where there seemed to be no light and the jailers were cruel. The manacles represent all the snares of the fowler - Psalm 91:3 'surely he will deliver us from the snare of the fowler' (think of animal snares) that have entangled us and held us in place. The old man has been replaced by the new creation man (clothed in red [blood], washed and in clean clothes [forgiven, cleansed and reclothed in righteousness]. I felt Holy Spirit say that we are going to have a new understanding of what this really means and the power and authority that the blood and Christ's resurrection has put in us.
He was a man dressed and ready to go. All that was holding him back was the manacles on his hands, but they broke off supernaturally (no jailer came to release him). His time in the dungeon was a time of preparation and at the appointed time God had come and set him free (think of the apostles supernaturally freed from prison). He was now trained and equipped, he knew he was called and what he was called to do. He had a look of focus on his face. As he was set free, he stood up walked out with purpose into the bright light outside the prison door. He hesitated but a moment as he adjusted to the brightness and then walked off in an already decided upon direction with full purpose and determination in his steps. This is a picture of us. A reality that is now ours for us to fully appropriate and step into. This man didn't come out of the prison wondering who he was or where he was going to go. He came out with all he needed. I went on to ask Holy Spirit what fruit Father wants to bring in the lives of his girls this year and the years following. He said to me, 'they will truly see their beauty as I see it. They will know what it is to be fresh and clean and that there is no shame in me. I have clothed them in fresh garments and I'm releasing them out of their prison cells. They will wonder at how they shine and how radiant they are. They will know who they are. There will be a fierce determination in them that they will never be taken captive again. They will carry a boldness to function and flow in who I have made them to be and what what I have called them to do. They won't allow their voice to be silenced anymore simply because they are women. They will carry my placards proclaiming my truth and they will change nations, carrying a militancy in their spirit for the things of my Kingdom. Some will be so transformed and stunned at the freedom that they now have, that they will be fearless in their pursuit to see others free, to go after the enemy without fear because they now know that he was the true enemy and not herself that had held her captive. I have given them a determination of heart and spirit and foreheads of flint (Ezekiel 3:9 and Isaiah 50:7) so that won't be turned away from their assignments by other voices. I saw a picture of an extension cord plugged into the source of power and the connection wrapped in layers of duct tape so that it is not easily undone'. Ezekiel 3:8 Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads. 9 I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.” 10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.… Isaiah 50: 6 I offered My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who tore out My beard. I did not hide My face from scorn and spittle. 7 Because the Lord GOD helps Me, I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. 8 The One who vindicates Me is near. Who will dare to contend with Me? Let us confront each other! Who has a case against Me? Let him approach Me!… At the end of my prayer time this morning I found myself looking at Jesus on a large seat (one much like Abraham Lincoln memorial) - solid and square and unadorned. He was wearing red robes. I knew that he was my MASTER-AT-ARMS, and he handed me a large sword to cut off the heads of my enemies, saying 'go well'. (A Master-At-Arms is the navy's military police who provide protection, security and law enforcement. Historically they would lead the defense of a fortification in war time and were responsible for the training of soldiers and weaponry). Someone asked in a Facebook post for the best advice for the coming year. My response was to stay as hungry as possible for Jesus and stay as close to him as you can. We are coming into rest where we know who we are, who our God is, what he is capable of and with such a fierceness of faith that we know he has gone before us in every battle we will face. We shall do great and mighty exploits girls, shining with his glory, armed by the Master-At-Arms himself.
